PSIK objectives is to upgrade bumiputera qualified QC, welding instructors, foreman and supervisors to be a certified Welding Inspector and be able to move into the high income group as targeted in the country ETPs.
For the pilot run we are using the UK TWI's CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector training and certification.

Applicant will be screen by HAT via interview and written test. Then a thorough Bumiputera status check need to take place before the shortlisted candidates submitted for YPPB approval.
Once approved, candidates will be notified and training/exam schedule will be shared accordingly.
The 50 pax pilot run has 3 cohorts: 20 pax in Cohort 1, 14 pax in Cohort 2 and 16 pax in Cohort 3.
Training of Cohort 1 and 2 were conducted at MMHE, Pasir Gudang while Cohort 3 is at Cyberjaya.
All the 3 cohorts has completed their exam, with the last cohort concluded on 29th Sept'14.
We hope this noble initiative by YPPB will enable all participants to grow in their career as well putting them in the right track into high income group.
